-R is roaring into toddlerdom this summer. He runs all over our sprawling yard despite the uneven earth, sometimes quite long grass, rocks, and the occasional thistle (ouch). He runs around like he is constantly moving too fast for himself and will either fall over or skid to a stop like Fred Flinstone (sound effects included).

The thing I love best about him at this stage is his kisses. He is very serious about them and when he wants to kiss you there really isn’t much you can do but submit and pray.

See it’s as if he is going to bite your face off. No puckering with this little guy, its open mouth all the way. Over the past 4 weeks during his 17th month -R has finally grown some teeth. He now has two fresh white teeth on bottom and two on top making accepting his kisses that much more of an act of faith.

Is receiving kisses from -R more than a little scary? uh huh. Are they worth facing the fear? Absolutely.
